This bed features the ability to offer two possible bed elevations. The Expedition has two, super heavy-duty, solid wood end panels; 1 Tall Panel and 1 Low Profile Panel. The perimeter is constructed of 3 layers of ¾” thick boards and the solid face inlay is made of ¾” thick tongue & groove southern yellow pine (not thin plywood like most others). As is the case with all of our beds, a foundation or boxspring is NOT required because we use (12) strong southern yellow pine bed slats to provide a solid foundation. This bed frame is super-strong & durable, eco-friendly, AND we back it with a 10-Year Warranty.
